The aft floor timber is being installed here using a simple jig similar to one that a Brockway type skiff builder in Oregon used while building his boat. The jig holds the 4″ x 4″ floor timber in place while it’s being installed with screws.

Four 2 1/2″ screws were used on each end of the floor timbers:
